This policy explains what personal data StepSnap handles and why. StepSnap is operated by Sebastian Gutierrez Cruz ("we", "us"), an independent software developer based in Barranquilla, Colombia.
StepSnap captures your clicks as steps with automatic screenshots while you record a guide. Steps and screenshots are stored on our servers for one purpose: to render your guides and the share links you publish. Guides are private by default; nothing is visible to others unless you publish a share link. You can view, edit or permanently delete a guide and its screenshots at any time; deletion removes the stored content.
We process your account email and guide content to perform the subscription or free service contract with you, and support correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the service. We retain account data while your subscription is active and for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting rules, after which it is deleted. Guides and screenshots are retained while you keep them and deleted when you delete them.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to us from your account email. If you are in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
If we change this policy materially, we will announce it on the site and, for subscribers, by email.
For any privacy question or request, see our contact page.
