These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of StepSnap, a browser extension for recording step-by-step work guides, provided by Sebastian Gutierrez Cruz ("we", "us"), operating as an independent software developer.
StepSnap captures your clicks as numbered steps with automatic screenshots while you record a guide on the active browser tab, and lets you publish guides on shareable pages or export them as Markdown. The service is offered in a Free tier (up to 3 guides) and a paid Pro subscription.
You may use the Free tier without an account. Pro features require a subscription and are licensed to you personally, non-exclusively and revocably, for as long as your subscription is active. You may not resell, redistribute or reverse-engineer the service.
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, acting as Merchant of Record on our behalf. Paddle is the merchant of record for all transactions and handles payment processing, invoicing and applicable sales tax/VAT. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
Guides, step descriptions and screenshots you capture with StepSnap remain yours; we store them only to provide the service. You may export (Pro) or delete your guides at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on the personal data we handle.
You agree not to use the service for unlawful purposes, to process data you have no right to process, or to attempt to disrupt or circumvent the service's technical limits.
The StepSnap software, design and branding are owned by us. Your guides remain yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your content.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for the content you record and share — only capture information you have the right to document, and review guides for sensitive information before publishing a share link.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. For any question about these Terms, see our contact page.
